Window Replacements of Georgia asked a client, “if you could choose the ideal front door for your house what would it look like?” The first style that drew her attention was this one below:
She picked this one because it seemed “classy yet unique.” This particular customer lives in a very traditional neighborhood and wanted to update the look of their house by adding a new wood door with some character.
After choosing the style, the next detail we looked at was glass options. The client wanted to be able to see though the glass to know who was approaching the front door, but did not want it to be 100% clear.
The perfect selection for her was the seedy glass. This offered exactly what she was looking for plus a nice texture. Then, it was time to select a wood species for her front door. There were three options that were in the running, but after we talked about the pros and cons of each, she decided on Mahogany because of its overall durability in our climate. Because she has a portico, it will also offer an extra layer of protection to her new front door.
